At first intrigued, the child approaches the stranger then snuggles into her arms. Suddenly, a scream tears through the night. The housekeeper rushes into Laure's room, collapsed. The strange creature has fainted while drops of blood flow down the child's neck... The years have passed. One autumn evening, a group of travelers whose sedan was in an accident entrusted to the baron, Laure's father, a strangely beautiful young girl. Her name is Carmilla...
